I closed my eyes and willed myself to see sense. It was probably my animal instincts kicking in; she was gorgeous, no doubt about that, but I hadn’t really been off the mountain for a long time… I was most likely just horny. I’d gone too long without sex and Jess’ body had just reminded me of that fact, that was all.

  Just lust.

I could never fall in love; that had been made abundantly clear to me. Our kind never did, or least I’d never heard about it.

Why the hell was I thinking of this, anyway? She was my stepsister now. Off limits. I couldn’t even go there if I wanted to.

But that didn’t stop my hand from wrapping itself around my cock, stroking up and down while thinking of her pillowy tits pressed up against my face or her plump wet lips sucking me off.

  Jess

“Jessica, will you be a dear and fetch Jake for dinner, please? He’s probably in the games room,” Alex requested as she popped her head around the kitchen entrance to where my dad and I were sitting in the den.

“Sure, where is that again? I think you’ll have to draw me a map,” I said, grinning. I was useless with directions and was hopelessly getting lost within the lodge; there were just so many rooms and levels. And yet, in contrast, I knew the city like the back of my hand and had never taken a wrong turn, but here, all my bearings were off, out of whack, and I had no idea why. Or maybe I did and just didn’t want to admit it to myself.

After Alex told me how to find the games room, I set off, regretting not taking any food along with me for the journey; I was bound to get lost in this mansion, never to be found again, I thought, giggling to myself.

Surprisingly, I made just a couple of wrong turns and eventually found the room stuffed with every gadget and toy imaginable. There were the requisite games consoles that every self-respecting billionaire had to have and then the more traditional items like the pool table and dart board. But I found no Jake.

I wandered down the hallway, straining my ears, trying to listen for any signs of him.

“Jake?” I called. No reply, but off near the end of the lengthy corridor I heard the distinctive noises of running water.

I crept towards the door and pressed my ear against the wood panel. I had no idea why I felt the sudden urge to be silent, to be unheard, but I refrained from calling out his name again while I held my breath to listen.

Images of his naked body suddenly flickered in my mind as I heard the drip from the shower beyond.

  Just one peek.

What was I thinking? I scolded myself. My breathing became hurried, and my heart hammered in my chest at the thought of seeing his gorgeous frame dripping wet with soapy suds. My hand rested upon the door handle.

Go on, do it! you know you want to.

The cold metal penetrated my skin as I gripped it hard and started to turn it slowly. I licked my lips in anticipation. If I was going to do it, I had to do it right there and then before I chickened out.

I pushed the door open a fraction, and a slit of glowing light hit my face. I could hear the roar of my blood pulsing around my ears; I was excited about what I was going to see, but I could sense something had changed. The shower was no longer running.

All of a sudden the door handle was yanked away from me, and the door swung open. An anxious lump caught in my throat, and I swallowed as I came face to face with Jake’s bare torso, dripping with moisture. His brown hair, now a shade darker, was tousled, spiky and glistening.

“Oh, hello there,” he crooned, looking down at me, a towel wrapped low around his waist. I could just make out the deep V of his groin. I looked away, feeling the flush in my cheeks begin to burn.

I stood frozen, like a terrified animal that was caught in a predators gaze, even though I longed to rip the towel away from his body and have my wicked way with him.

“I thought I heard someone out here,” he added, interrupting my little fantasy.

Jake’s bulging frame took up the entirety of the empty doorway. He towered over me; his head was closer to me than he’d ever been, and I couldn’t help but feel a surge of electricity buzz between us. The temptation to touch his bare skin, inches away from my hand, was overwhelming.

His full eyebrows knitted together while a smile danced upon his lips. “You weren’t trying to sneak a peek, were you?” he whispered, leaning down so I could hear the low rumble of his voice.

I gasped as I felt my cheeks burn, giving me away. How on earth could he guess that? Unless he was thinking the same dirty thoughts I had been…

“Looks like I’ll have to get a lock on the door to keep me safe,” he said chuckling.

“Oh my god, shut up!” I said, cringing. I covered my face, mortified. Had I been that obvious?

His fingers pried my hands away from my eyes. He held onto them for second longer than was appropriate, but I wasn’t complaining. I felt the rough edges of his finger pads rub against my soft palm and wished he were rubbing elsewhere at that very moment. Our eyes locked, and I claimed my hand back, praying he couldn’t read my thoughts.

“So, did you need me for something?” he asked quizzically.

My mind went momentarily blank, wiped clean of every thought I’d ever had. The only thoughts that were left were of him.

“Erm… Yes!” I said brightly as I remembered what I was tasked to do. Talk about having a brain fart - he must’ve thought I was a right nonce. “Food. Dinner, I mean. Fuck…” I took a breath and untied my tongue. “Dinner is almost ready, and Alex asked me to get you.”

His eyes twinkled as he smiled at me. “You’re cute when you’re flustered, you know?”

He did not just say that to me.

Still not fully able to form coherent sentences, I stuck my tongue out at him. He gave out a surprised laugh.

Oh my god, what was I doing? This wasn’t the playground; I wasn’t a five year old in pigtails! Kill me now.

“I’ll be down in a mo,” Jake said, still staring at me as if he were waiting for me to do something.

“I have to get changed… but you can stay and watch if you want,” he said teasingly.

Fully realising what he was implying, my eyes went wide as the moon, and I turned on my tail and fled. There was no way I could do that, could I? He was joking, messing with me. Older brothers were notorious for that kind of behaviour, weren’t they? I thought, trying to convince myself that it had been an innocent ribbing.

The three of us sat at a polished oak table. Jake still hadn’t descended from his room, and I was grateful for the reprieve. I needed time to clear my head of his loaded words, and seeing his face again so soon after would’ve done nothing but muddy the waters.

Thankfully the chair opposite me remained empty for the duration of the main meal. Jake sauntered down the staircase and into the dining room with a grace I would never have expected of a man of his size. He took his place and dived straight into dessert, the apple pie Alex had made from scratch.

“Nice of you to join us,” she said.

“Sorry, I had some last minute business to attend to,” Jake replied and gave me a sly wink while his mother wasn’t looking. I dropped my spoon into my bowl. It bounced and clattered to the floor, causing everyone’s eyes to look my way.

I ducked under the table to retrieve the wayward utensil.

What the hell kind of game was he trying to play? Last-minute business? What did that mean? My thoughts trailed off in a wickedly naughty direction, and I found it hard to repress a smile.

“Nothing too serious I hope,” I said, wanting to see how far he would go with his charade.

“Oh, nothing to worry your little head over – a phone call, a quickie really… in and out. Wham bam thank you ma’am.” He grinned and licked his spoon.

OK, I was in way over my head with this one.

“Trouble with the mill?” Alex interrupted, her tone serious.

“Nope, just Edward, one my advisors,” he said, clarifying the last part for us newcomers at the
table, “letting me know that the merger of Bear Oak Shipping and Cargo Maritime was successful.”

“Congratulations,” my dad said between mouthfuls.

“You own a shipping company, too?” I asked incredulously.

Jake shrugged and popped another piece of pie into his mouth. He chewed, keeping me waiting, his warm caramel eyes never leaving mine for a second.

“Several in fact… I’ve lost count to be honest. There’s also a couple of train companies and airlines, too.”

“Well, shouldn’t we celebrate? It’s a good thing, this merger, I presume?” I raised an eyebrow, but before I could interrogate Jake any further, my dad interrupted.

“Jessica, I’m sure Jake doesn’t want to talk business at the dinner table. Leave him be.”

“But—” I scowled, desperate to know more, but I stopped my line of questioning when my dad gave me a don’t-you-dare look.

It baffled me how Jake could act so nonchalant about his businesses, like he didn’t care. I was pretty sure a merger was a pretty big deal in the business world, but what did I know? To him I was probably a dumb kid. And why was my dad so opposed to me finding out more? Was I truly just being rude?

Jake finished eating the last crumbs of his pie and stood up; he cleared the table and made a quick escape.

I swore to corner him the next chance I got. If I was going to be a part of this family, it was probably a good idea to know how it all worked.

My mind would not give me a break. Manual labour was the one thing that could help me zone out and forget about the hunger I’d seen in Jess’ eyes. Well it wasn’t the only thing that would help me, but instead I chose the safest option – to put some hours in at the mill. Rampaging around the mountain on all fours never came without its downfalls, and while I loved the freedom, the danger of giving in and letting my animal side overtake me was very real.

Jess, though – what was she doing to me? Ever since she’d stepped foot on Scarfell, I’d felt more whole, more in control of my animal side than ever before. That couldn’t be coincidence, I thought. She was changing me…

Sweat dripped from my brow and down my cheeks as I lugged a log nearly twice my size from one side of the mill to the processing pile. The rough bark rubbed hard into my shoulder as I swung it around in the direction I wanted to go.

After a few lengthy paces, in one fluid movement I dipped at my knees, sprang upwards and hauled the log down onto its brethren.

“Finally, I found you. So, is this how you spend your days, Mr Billionaire?” a sweet voice said from behind, startling me. How had she crept up upon me like that?

“It’s good for the soul,” I said and turned to look at her. There it was again – the buzz, the pull. The need to be close.

“Have you been avoiding me?” she asked.

Jess stood with her hip cocked and a hand gently placed upon it. My eyes couldn’t help but take her in, looking her up and down. I knew it was wrong of me to stare at her in such a way, but she was like a good rare steak. It would’ve been rude for me not to take a bite.

“What makes you think that?” I replied.

“Well, for one, you’re hiding out down here…”

I shrugged and concentrated on her little outfit, which, whether intentional or not - I didn’t care - was making my cock hard. Little shorts that displayed her strong thighs and no doubt, if she turned around they’d reveal a slight strip of butt cheek, too.

The tank top was cut low, and at my height, well, let’s just say I had a perfect view.

“Aren’t billionaires supposed to be chained to their desks in some tall office somewhere?” she asked.

“Where would the fun in that be? What’s the point in having a load of money if you can’t do what you want?”

“You’ve got a point there,” she said, pondering. “So, working here in the mountains is what you want?”

“For now, yes,” I replied, wondering where she was heading. “What’s with the questions, Jess?”

“Curious, I guess.” She shrugged and sat down on top of the pile of logs, getting comfortable. “I dunno. You’re not what I was expecting. For one, you still live with your mom.”

“Ah, that’s very true - but she’s a great cook. I guess I don’t rate up there with all the other billionaires in your life?” She gave out a laugh, and I sat down beside her. Her soft thigh brushed up against mine. The warmth of her body penetrated the material of my jeans. I wanted so desperately to touch her again, skin on skin, but I quickly pushed the thought away.

“You’re the only one,” she replied. “Billionaire, I mean.”

She blushed again, as she was wont to do around me. I almost foolishly reached out to caress her cheek, but she looked away just in time.

We sat in a bizarre concoction of comfortable yet highly charged silence, content with each other’s company but desperate for more.

“And what’s with the fence?” she asked.

“Security,” I replied instantly, perhaps a little too defensively.

“Yeah, I get that. But no offence, the lumber mill… well, it’s tiny. Are there people out there who are gonna steal your wood? Angry beavers perhaps?“

“What can I say? I like to keep my employees safe.”

“Fair enough, I’ll drop it. But know this Mr Billionaire: I know you’re hiding something. You and this mountain have secrets,” she teased, waggling a pointed finger at me.

I raised an eyebrow but didn’t fall for her bait. Perceptive little minx. “Were you going for a walk up on the trail again?” I asked, attempting to change the subject to a more harmless topic.

“It’s a nice day for it. Want to come with me?” Her eyes flickered up to mine as she asked the question but just as quickly darted away again.

“Another time maybe. I have this lot to finish,” I said indicating the pile of logs that needed to be moved.

“Shame you can’t ask your boss for some time off.” She paused, waiting for a reply, but I gritted my teeth, knowing full well I could not go anywhere with her while she was looking like that. “Well, OK then, suit yourself,” she said after a moment. Her lips were smiling, but I could sense I’d disappointed her.

“Just don’t go too far, or stay out too long; it’s going to rain later,” I said as I got up, trying to put some needed distance between us.

Without another word, she nodded at me and wandered off.

I watched her for a long time, admiring the sway of her cute ass as she disappeared into the distance up the rocky trail. I grinned, my eyes fixed upon her beautiful behind; her cheeks were spilling out from beneath the material as she stepped upwards. I’d been right. Those shorts were definitely cock teasers.

OK, I admit it. This place wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.

The house, or lodge, as Alex and Jake referred to it, was a dream. There were rooms for every activity you could think of – game room, spa and steam rooms, a gigantic home cinema with its very own popcorn machine – which I would be indulging in later that evening - and my favourite room of all… Well, technically it wasn’t a room but a balcony with an infinity pool that overlooked the valley.

Not only that, but the whole mountain was perfect for my dad, who needed absolute silence when he was writing his opinion articles for the magazine.

This place was turning into the ideal spot where I could just kick back and de-stress from all of last term’s exam madness. Speaking of which, I still had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. I saw little point going to University without a plan, so a year off to sort out what I wanted was what my dad and I had decided was for the best. I had thought of maybe travelling to Europe for a couple of months, but for now this mountain, Scarfell, held my interest. That and one other thing…

Jake, with his ever so tempting body and soft luxurious brown eyes, was becoming awfully cosy with me. He was driving me crazy ‘cause
I knew I could do nothing about it. Being so close to him practically all the time was making me a gibbering wreck.

But maybe he was just being nice; he couldn’t like me like that… could he? Jake was probably trying to get to know me a little better, that was all, and my mind was being silly, working overtime, reading into things too much.

Or maybe… No, I was being stupid. That could never happen, anyway.

After seeing Jake at the mill, I needed to cool off. And in a way, I was glad he didn’t join me on my walk. I needed so desperately to not think about him, at least for a little bit.

These little hikes had become a routine of mine; it was so spectacular out here, it would’ve been a shame to stay cooped up in the lodge all the time.

The sun filtered down through the trees and warmed my skin, hitting the back of my neck as I walked up towards the trail away from the mill.

Oh, and I wasn’t kidding about trading in my heels for appropriate footwear. It had taken me a couple of days to get used to the clunky and surprisingly heavy hiking boots Jake had kindly brought me, but after a couple of days of wearing them in, they were now moulded to my feet.

They also made me feel like I could hike for miles and clamber over countless rocks. Yeah, I’m more surprised by that than anyone - the most exercise I ever had in the city was running to catch a bus.

So off I went, in my cute little shorts - thigh-gap be damned! - a tank top paired with the boots. I was unstoppable, ready for anything. Felt sexy even, and I was sure I had felt Jake’s eyes on me as I walked away from him. Mission accomplished, I thought mischievously.
